摘要: Novel well-dispersed nanocomposites of halloysite nanotubes and acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene were prepared. The fire retardancy thermal stability these new improved. A synergistic effect was observed between the an intumescent flame-retardant system consisting ammonium polyphosphate, melamine polyphosphate pentaerythritol in composites. incorporation material into halloysite–polymer nanocomposite also improved reduced peak heat release rate by up to 56.2%, it significantly emission CO CO2 gases. morphology dispersion characterized using scanning transmission electron microscopy. flammability properties investigated thermogravimetric analysis cone calorimeter tests. © 2013 Society Chemical Industry
