摘要: Drug delivery by inhalation is routine for the treatment of local pulmonary conditions like asthma, cystic fibrosis, and chronic obstructive disease. Only recently, though, has route been considered administering drugs systemic diseases. The attractive several reasons. It non-invasive, it avoids first-pass metabolism, allows drug absorption from a large, highly vascularized surface area. However, consistent to deep lung requires particles within very narrow size range. Several particle engineering approaches have used produce dry powders that will reach alveolar space. Some these methods, such as spray drying solution, formation drug-containing liposomes, controlled crystallization particles, are described here.
