摘要: To evaluate C-reactive protein (CRP) as a potential useful criterion of symptomatic severity ankylosing spondylitis (AS), we conducted both cross sectional and longitudinal (6 week) clinical study in 443 patients with axial involvement AS. During the 6 weeks study, received either placebo or an active nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID). At baseline, CRP was increased 173 (39%). A multivariate analysis which dependent variable all assessment criteria (pain, range motion, functional disability, hemoglobin, platelet count) independent variables showed that motion laboratory signs inflammation were most significant to explain values. similar on changes during concluded night pain explaining The capacity discriminate between NSAID moderate. This suggests than increase AS is not rare phenomenon might be correlated disease. outcome measure does seem great interest short term evaluation fast acting drugs. However, longterm significance such remains investigated.
