Pregnancy Intention and Positive Parenting Behaviors Among First-Time Mothers The Importance of Mothers’ Contexts

摘要: Mothers and children often experience negative outcomes following unintended pregnancies. The current study examined for whom under what conditions pregnancy was associated with among a sample of 682 first-time mothers, recruited as part the Predicting Preventing Child Neglect in Teen study. Specifically, maternal demographic characteristics were moderators association between intention parenting behaviors when 18 months old. Results revealed that fewer positive behaviors; however, both race education moderated association.
