摘要: A wavelength tunable laser with an SOA and external double micro-ring resonator, which is fabricated silicon photonic-wire waveguides, demonstrated. To date, it the first photonic technology. The device ultra compact, its resonator footprint 700 × 450 μm, about 1/25 that of conventional lasers SiON waveguides. shows a wide tuning range covering C or L bands for DWDM optical communication. We obtained maximum span 38 nm at power consumption 26 mW, 1/8 SiON-type resonators.
