摘要: Introduction: In this study, we tested the hypothesis that fixed functional appliance treatment in a group of Class II Division 1 patients with mandibular retrusion changes condyle position glenoid fossa. Methods: Transverse computed tomography images were taken temporomandibular joint region 60 children malocclusion. Thirty randomly selected treated orthodontic (Forsus nitinol flat-spring, 3M Unitek Corp, Monrovia, Calif) for 7 months; another 30 without used as controls. Computed at beginning and end estimating condyle-glenoid fossa relationship, including volumes condyle, fossa, anterior posterior spaces. Results: Although increased more study than control group, differences not statistically significant. However, significant found between groups spaces ( P Conclusions: When changed, was posteriorly positioned group.
