Thus, must be limited growing persons only. should not looked upon a last resort only when other approaches failed. Treatment prognosis best subjects brachyfacial growth pattern. Unfavorable growth, unstable occlusal conditions, persisting oral habits potential risk factors relapses. As performed during relatively short period, hard soft tissues (teeth, bone, musculature) would need time adaptation new mandibular position removed. Posttreatment retention routine removable functional therefore recommended.
