摘要: Aim of the present study was to biochemical responses wheat cultivars (Platinum Lok 1, Eagle 135, Prerna Amber, Kisan Farmer 2189 and Ankur Kedar) polyethylene glycol (PEG-6000—0, 5, 10 15%) induced drought stress. Lipid peroxidation, H2O2, proline, glycine betaine (GB) activities antioxidant enzymes were evaluated at seedling stage. As concentration PEG increased, an increase in free proline GB accumulation observed all different extent. However, magnitude reduction these parameters more Amber 135. Platinum 1 showed contents with low levels MDA H2O2 as compared rest cultivars. The catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POX) superoxide dismutase (SOD) increasing trend respect concentration. no specific for activity ascorbate (APX). Activities POX SOD significantly high Plantinum 1. Overall results indicated that can be considered tolerant which associated higher lower contents. Biochemical such osmolytes could provide useful tools identification
