摘要: Drought significantly reduces yield of many crop plants including wheat in the world. Identification genotypes that can thrive on limited water is vital to boost production rainfed areas. Forty were screened for drought tolerance using 0, 7.5, 15 and 22.5% Polyethylene Ethylene Glycol 6000 solutions at PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan during 2009-10. Data recorded various seedling parameters like germination percentage, rate index, root length, shoot coleoptile length vigor. The traits showed a decreasing trend response increased concentrations PEG 6000. Wheat genotype Lyalpur-73 was found best percentage (87.5). C-591 had maximum index (2.4). Pasban 90 WC-18 possessed (9.9) vigor (7.4) respectively. Auqab-2000 (8.3). Pak-81 along with CB 335 (1.9). Germination positive correlation all other traits. Root association length. While vigour.
