摘要: Climate change is emerging phenomena and causing frequent drought which lead to scaricity of water, ultimately nagetively affecting wheat (Triticumaestivum L.) yield all around the world. The aim this study was explore potential deought tolerant genotypes for candidate genes exploration. This conducted during year 2014-2015 at Plant Physiology Division, Nuclear Institute Agriculture (NIA) Tandojam. six (cv. MT-1/13, MT-2/13, MT-3/13, MT-4/13 Chakwal-86 Khirman) were investigated their response germination seedling stage under different water stress treatments (0, -0.5, -0.75 -1.0 MPa) in controlled conditions. results experiments with reference revealed that genotype shows maximum seed (82.58 %), while Khirman shoot length (7.23 cm), root (15.1 fresh wt. (5.85 g 10-1shoots), wt. (3.45 10-1roots), dry (1.33 (0.69 10-1roots). Among tested are had perform better conditions, whereas moderate Moreover, i.e. MT-1/13 MT-2/13 sensitive environment. It concluded from present in-vitro studies osmotic significantly reduced shoot/root length weight genotypes. reduction found higher induced by PEG-6000 (-1.0 significantly.
