摘要: The EU FP7 BEST PATHS research project is investigating in one of its Demos the possible refurbishment three-terminal HVDC link “SA.CO.I.2” (300 MW) between Sardinia, Corsica and continental grid. present paper proposes a dedicated control solution, based on “voltage margin method”, for future SA.CO.I.3 assuming adoption Voltage Source Converters “VSC” with bipolar configuration 600 MW transmission capacity. VSC-HVDC has been modelled together “horizon year 2030” representation interconnected AC systems DigSILENT PowerFactory® software. simulation electromechanical transients Sardinia demonstrated that proposed solution able to exploit VSC technical potentialities advantage, particular, insular Sardinian/Corsican frequency stability.
