摘要: Bifurcations and/or their consequences are frequently encountered in numerical modelling of current transfer to cathodes gas discharges, also apparently simple situations, and a failure recognize properly analyse bifurcation may create difficulties the hinder understanding results underlying physics. This work is concerned with analysis bifurcations that have been steady-state glow arc discharges. All basic types (fold, transcritical, pitchfork) identified analysed. The provides explanations many obtained modelling. In particular, it shown dramatic changes patterns both described by modelling, occur through perturbed transcritical first- second-order contact. elucidates reason why mode discharge associated falling section current–voltage characteristic solution von Engel Steenbeck seems not appear 2D subnormal normal modes instead. A similar effect has explained.
