摘要: The objective of this study was to estimate the risk congenital anomalies according ethnicity newborn’s parents. A sample 20,940 newborns with 10 specific selected, together a similar group controls, and separated by ethnic group. risks for isolated were estimated logistic regression methods, adjusting Propensity Score using Mantel-Haenszel test. results present showed that Latin Europeans have high spina bifida, syndactyly 2-3 toes, hypospadias; Jews natives (Amerindian) microtia, oral clefts, preaxial polydactyly anal atresia; African descendants postaxial hypospadias, Arabs bifida. In conclusion, inSouth America some groups an increased defects, which are not attributable parental age, socioeconomic status or number pregnancies, suggesting certain more susceptible birth defects.
