摘要: The controls acting over the timing of DNA replication (S) during cell cycle have been investigated in fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe. size at which takes place has determined a number experimental situations such as growth nitrogen-starved cells, spore germination and synchronous culture wee mutant wild-type strains. It is shown that strains wild type grown under conditions cells are small, same size. This suggests there minimum beneath cannot initiate it this control determines S mutant. Fast growing too large for to be expressed. In these may controlled by completion previous nuclear division coupled with requirement period G1. Thus S. pombe two different S, either can operative depending upon division. suggested form useful conceptual framework considering mammalian cells.
