摘要: Background and Objectives. The study was designed to compare analgesic efficacy associated adverse effects between a group of parturients receiving subarachnoid opioids via the combined spinal-epidural (CSE) technique with epidural analgesia alone for labor. Methods. authors studied 59 healthy admitted labor delivery. Group 1 consisted 26 consecutive patients who received CSE technique, initially morphine sulfate 0.25 mg, fentanyl 25 μg, analgesia. If requested additional analgesia, initiated. 2 comprised 33 conventional All were monitored occurrence treatment peripartum nausea vomiting (N/V), pruritus, post-dural puncture headache, respiratory depression. Results. Additional by 20/26 (76%) in 1. reported more N/V (50% versus 15%, P = .01) required therapy (31% 0%, Conclusions. combination mg when used as part higher incidence clinically significant compared anesthesia. Furthermore, proved ineffective providing adequate pain relief duration delivery majority patients. recommend that serve limited role pain.
