摘要: Staphylococcus aureus is one of the most prevalent causes bovine mastitis. The antimicrobial treatment this disease currently based on susceptibility tests according to CLSI standards. However, various studies have shown that there a discrepancy between results standard test and actual cure rate applied treatment. Increasing evidence suggests biofilm formation by S. associated with problem. available assays for bacteria growing in biofilms, are not considered reliable enough routine application. Therefore, objective study was further develop biofilm, suitable testing aureus. With expansion MBEC™ assay an extended test, comprises 2 4 consecutive days challenge, analysed. showed clear differences strains agents respect effect longer duration challenge eradication biofilm. also indicates each bacterial strain requires specific therapy, which cannot be derived from or 24-h test.
