摘要: Relationships between the biodegradation rate constants of a number polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and hydrophobic electronic structural parameters are compared. There is no simple relationship with octanol-water partition coefficients, indicating that rates PCBs probably not determined by their permeation through bacterial membranes. Biodegradation correlated much better both properties chlorine substituents, which suggests reactivity possibly enzyme binding control rates.
