摘要: The antioxidant, antiproliferative and cytotoxic activities against different human cancer cells were investigated in local recently introduced plants of Mentha sp., Rosmarinus officinalis L. (ROL) Origanum majorana (OML). ROL exhibited the highest antioxidant (IC50 8.4 ± 0.2 μg/mL) followed by OML mint species such as suaveolens 'apple mint' longifolia exhibiting moderate activities. HPLC analysis leaf extract revealed that rosmarinic acid is main component caffeic acid. Herbal extracts varied their proliferation inhibition cytotoxicity HeLa, MCF-7 Jurkat a dose-dependent matter. activity detected mint. Local herbs might have potential role anticancer natural medicines addition to high due presence phenolics aqueous tea extracts.
