摘要: The CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein beta (C/EBPβ) is a transcription factor expressed in different areas of the brain that regulates expression several genes involved cell differentiation and proliferation. This has three isoforms (LAP1, LAP2, LIP) with activation potential. role female sex hormones pattern C/EBPβ rat not yet been described. In this study we demonstrate by western blot changes during estrous cycle. cerebellum, LAP2 content diminished on diestrus proestrus LIP estrus days. prefrontal cortex, was higher hippocampus, LAP presented switch day, since LAP1 highest while lowest. isoform most abundant one all areas. LAP/LIP ratio changed throughout cycle tissue specific. These results suggest tissue-specific manner due to steroid hormone levels
