Effects of music on patient anxiety in coronary care units.

摘要: In this experimental study we examined the effects of listening to relaxation-type music on self-reported anxiety and selected physiologic indices relaxation in patients with suspected myocardial infarction. Seventy-five were randomly assigned one two groups, other "white noise," or a control group. The State Anxiety Inventory was administered before after each testing session, blood pressure, heart rate, digital skin temperature measured at baseline 10-minute intervals for 30-minute session. There no significant difference among three groups state scores parameters. Because differences found, analyses conducted combined. Significant improvement all parameters found have occurred. This finding reinforces need nurses plan care that allows uninterrupted rest coronary unit.
