摘要: The roles of growth factor receptors and numerous downstream regulatory pathways are increasing interest in neuro-oncology. These have been extensively studied gliomas but only recently analyzed meningiomas. This article reviews current research on the receptor-Ras-Raf-1-MEK-1-MAPK, PI3K-Akt/PKB, PLC-gamma1-PKC, phospholipase A2-cyclooxygenase, TGF-beta receptor-Smad that appear to regulate meningioma inhibit apoptosis. Sites along these receptor/kinase cascades might be targeted by novel therapies also discussed.
