摘要: Abstract Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a highly recurrent malignant disease, is grade IV glioma with poor prognosis. stem cells (GSCs) are the new potential target for GBM intervention. To develop an improved treatment by targeting GSCs, we identified neriifolin, active principle in extracts of Cerbera manghas L., as effective inhibitor growth and migration cell lines their tumorspheres. In this study, neriifolin effectively inhibited colony formation CD133+ Both C. Akt activation caused cycle G1 arrest. They also reduced expression marker Sox2. Treatment higher doses induced apoptosis Furthermore, tumorsphere-derived tumors vivo. summary, obtained from may serve drug lead compound therapies.
