Quantitative trait loci for agronomic traits in an elite barley population for Mediterranean conditions

摘要: Advances in plant breeding through marker-assisted selection (MAS) are only possible when genes or quantitative trait loci (QTLs) can contribute to the improvement of elite germplasm. A population recombinant inbred lines (RILs) was developed for one best crosses Spanish National Barley Breeding Program, between two six-row winter barley cultivars Orria and Plaisant. The objective this study identify favourable QTLs agronomic traits population, which may help optimise strategies these other materials Mediterranean region. genetic linkage map 217 RILs, using 382 single nucleotide polymorphism markers, selected from oligonucleotide pool assay BOPA1 genes. subset 112 RILs evaluated several over a period 2 years at three locations, Lleida Zaragoza (Spain) Fiorenzuola d’Arda (Italy), total five field trials. An important segregation distortion occurred during development region surrounding VrnH1 locus. QTL grain yield length growth cycle also found locus, apparently linked differential response alleles temperature. 33 detected, most them targets such as height thousand-grain weight. QTL × environment interactions were prevalent although nature. Therefore, suitable MAS identified.
