摘要: Hypertension is an important public health challenge because of its high prevalence and strong association with cardiovascular disease premature death. a major cause CKD, present in more than 80% CKD patients, contributes to progression. Risk factors for hypertension include, but are not limited to, age, race, family history, obesity, physical inactivity, tobacco use, inadequate intake minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium. Magnesium the second most abundant intracellular cation human body plays role insulin adenosine triphosphate metabolism. Low dietary magnesium has been associated increased risk developing prospective cohort studies. Moreover, clinical trials suggest that supplementation blood pressure–lowering effects. In addition, emerging data reveal potential mechanisms by which may influence pressure. Here, we will review these mechanisms, using physiology-based approach, focusing on effects total peripheral resistance cardiac output.
