摘要: Sonic hedgehog (Shh) specifies the identity of both motor neurons (MNs) and interneurons with morphogen-like activity. Here, we present evidence that homeodomain factor HB9 is critical for distinguishing MN interneuron in mouse. Presumptive progenitors postmitotic MNs express HB9, whereas never this factor. This pattern resembles a composite avian homologs MNR2 HB9. In mice lacking Hb9, genetic profile significantly altered, particularly by upregulation Chx10, gene normally restricted to class ventral interneurons. aberrant expression accompanied topological disorganization columns, loss phrenic abducens nerves, intercostal nerve pathfinding defects. Thus, actively suppress programs establish their identity.
