摘要: Aspergillus nidulans rcoA encodes a member of the WD repeat family proteins. The RcoA protein shares sequence similarity with other members this family, including Saccharomyces cerevisiae Tup1p and Neurospora crassa RCO1. is involved in negative regulation an array functions carbon catabolite repression. RCO1 regulating pleiotropic developmental processes, but not In A. nidulans, deletion (DeltarcoA), recessive mutation, resulted gross defects vegetative growth, asexual spore production sterigmatocystin (ST) biosynthesis. Expression ST pathway-specific regulatory genes, brlA aflR, respectively, signal transduction genes (i.e. flbA, fluG or fadA) aflR expression was delayed (brlA) eliminated (aflR) DeltarcoA strain. Overexpression strain could rescue normal downstream targets AflR. CreA-dependent repression starch ethanol utilization only weakly affected strong role development, growth production, compared relatively weak repression, similar to N. crassa.
