摘要: Previous work on bonobos (Pan paniscus) has focused the role of aggression in context conflict resolution captive groups. This study investigates events aggressive behaviour wild to evaluate its significance mating. Temporal association (15 minutes) between and mating was used assume functional relationship. The proportion that were found be related activity highest for female-female followed by male-male, male-female, female-male aggression. results suggest intrasexual is manipulate success competitors: Males competed access oestrus females, males high days, aggressors had higher rates than targets. Harassment females disturbed attempts targets, rate increased with number oestrous per party following harassment, tended mate more often male partner target female. Unlike aggression, support predicted functions inter-sexual weak. Aggression against rare almost never aggressor target. Female occurred frequently but appeared independent behaviour. did not female-defence alliance hypothesis (Parish, 1996). However, when engaged close association, lower during control periods. We intersexual incompatible bonding propose potential benefits derive from affiliative long-term prevent being females.
