摘要: Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis (PCI) is an uncommon disorder usually associated with intestinal and pulmonary obstructive diseases, recent abdominal procedures systemic illnesses. PCI has been reported in patients lupus erythematosus vasculitis. We describe herein a patient month history of intermittent pain, diarrhoea, hyporexia, weight loss who underwent resection for acute abdomen. Post-operatively she gave three-month arthritis the right knee, ankles feet, arthralgia wrists, MCPs shoulders. She also described weakness, loss, Raynaud's phenomenon, skin rash. Laboratory examination revealed increased ESR, low haemoglobin haematocrit, positive rheumatoid factor, ANA speckled pattern, as well antibodies to DNA, SS-A cardiolipin. The symptomatology especially cramps bouts diarrhoea persisted after surgery became worse two months later. Abdominal X-ray showed distention bowel cyst formation wall entire colon. A diagnosis was made radiologically. pathology reviewed vasculitis identified. received treatment high dose prednisone excellent response; progressively tapered asymptomatic without complaints or other symptoms over year.
