摘要: We used a hip joint simulator to compare the metal release from CoCr/CoCr, CoCr/PE, and alumina/PE total articulations. The was quantified by analyzing Co, Cr, Ni contents of bovine serum lubricant with atomic absorption spectroscopy. CoCr/CoCr articulations released substantial amounts metal, whereas CoCr/PE equal control, alumina/PE, in that negligible. accordance known clinical wear rates largest dimensional changes occurred polyethylene cups, penetrations CoCr heads cups being twice alumina head, which is consistent experience. research on behavior different materials, aiming find prosthesis negligible wear, needs be continued. Due release, articulation hardly final solution problem arthroplasty.
