摘要: AbstractA novel 12-station hip joint simulator with an anatomic position of the prosthesis was designed and built. The motion consists flexion-extension abduction-adduction. load is double-peak type. validation test done three similar 28 mm CoCr-polyethylene joints in diluted calf serum lubricant for 3.3 × 106 cycles. bearing surfaces polyethylene cups were burnished, CoCr heads undamaged, wear particles 0.1-1 μm size range, mean factor 5.7 10−7 mm3/N m. These essential observations good agreement clinical findings. In addition, 50 CoCR/CoCr joints, representing contemporary large-diameter metal-on-metal articulation tested.
