摘要: The phylogenetic position of Nitrobacter winogradskyi and two other nitrite-oxidizing bacteria was elucidated comparing oligonucleotides the 16S ribosomal RNA. isolate ‘Yukatan’ are genetically nearly identical; X14 is more distantly related. Phylogenetically, a member group purple non-sulfur that defined by various species Rhodopseudomonas, Rhodomicrobium vannielii, Rhodospirillum rubum their non-phototrophic relatives. shares high sequence similarity to Rhodopseudomonas palustris. These findings in accord with several common taxonomic characteristics, addition support conversion hypothesis for origin this chemolithotrophic bacteria.
