摘要: Peripheral fat is a major source of endogenous estrogens in menopausal women. To investigate whether obesity affects use replacement postmenopausal women, we examined the relation between body mass index and data from Group Health Cooperative Puget Sound, German Cardiovascular Prevention Study, Cancer Steroid Hormone (CASH) study. In each set, there was decline estrogen with higher index. All sets showed hysterectomy to be strong predictor use. Smoking, past oral contraceptives other estrogens, ages at menarche menopause did not appear influence mass-estrogen relation. The consistent association collected different times places by methodologies strongly suggests common underlying biologic mechanism.
