摘要: To determine whether respiratory virus infections (URI) are associated with exacerbation of nephrotic syndrome (NS) in childhood, a prospective two-winter study 32 children NS was done. We obtained pre- and post-season viral serologic studies, blweekly nose throat cultures, daily urinalysis, biweekly telephone follow-up for URI renal complaints, clinical assessments as indicated. When occurred, cultures were done weekly if the child at home twice hospitalized. Sixty-one URIs occurred; agent identified 33 (51.6%) (respiratory syncytial 14, influenza five, parainfluenza varicella zoster four, adenovirus three, Mycoplasma pneumoniae one, Chlamydia trachomatis one). Forty-one exacerbations 71% URI; 29% had no during preceding 10 days (P
