摘要: The work of the consortium that has been formed to complete entire sequence genome a selected clone human malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum, is almost finished. Already huge tracts are available as fully assembled chromosomes or large contigs and initial annotation in an advanced state. Post-genomic research one sense process furthering annotation, creating biological atlases preliminary attempts make global descriptions gene transcription proteome analysis underway. Comparison between significant amounts data from both closely, more distantly related organisms, can facilitate identification genes themselves, coordinately regulated expression groups, function organization. Models fulfil these functions addition provide experimental system wherein predictions be tested basic investigations performed within numerous aspects disease, pathology, parasite-host parasite-vector interactions. Comparative genomics already shown have informative roles completion elucidation function. These will illustrated by example used basis for discussion utility information models realizing desired product genomics, development therapies.
