摘要: The importance of dietary lipids during childhood is evident, as they are necessary for correct growth and development the newborn. When breastfeeding not possible, infant formulas designed to mimic human milk much possible fulfill infant’s requirements. However, composition these dairy products relatively constant, while a uniform bio-fluid changes according requirements baby. In this study, breast samples were donated by 24 Spanish mothers in different lactation stages purchased supermarkets pharmacies. Gas chromatography coupled flame ionization detection was used fatty acid determination. Compared milk, first-stage apparently very similar composition; however, no major differences observed profiles between stages. Galician women has profile rich oleic acid, linoleic arachidonic docosahexaenoic acid. comparing with formulas, it becomes evident that manufacturers tend enrich essential acids (especially α-linolenic acid), but levels lower than milk. Additionally, obtained results demonstrated after 1 year lactation, still good source energy, acids, long-chain polyunsaturated
