摘要: Aims: Envenomation with poisonous snakes is associated considerable morbidity and mortality. The present study was undertaken the objectives of assessing anti-snake venom (ASV) use, early adverse reactions to ASV, premedication clinical outcomes in snake bite patients. Association various risk factors (age, gender, dose time gap between ASV administration, use mechanical ventilation type bite) mortality also assessed. Settings Design: This retrospective conducted at two Tertiary Care Teaching Hospitals. Subjects Methods: medical records 176 patients documented were retrospectively analyzed retrieve relevant data. Statistical Analysis: Descriptive statistics used express results about outcomes. Univariate multivariate analysis performed find out significant Results: main indication for vasculotoxic (75%) followed by neurotoxic (16%). Mean 18.63 ± 14.52 vials. Prophylactic corticosteroids alone or combination antihistaminic more than 70% Early seen 4% Neurotoxic a factor analysis. Conclusions: an independent predictor Currently polyvalent may be less effective treating bite.
