Observations of winds in the Antarctic summer mesosphere using the spaced antenna technique

摘要: Abstract Observations of winds in the 60–100 km height range were made at Mawson (68°S, 63°E) during December 1981 and January 1982 with MF spaced antenna technique. The prevailing are accord other recent observations high latitudes show a peak zonal wind near 80 westward 30 m s −1. meridional maximize 90 an equatorward flow 10 s−1. diurnal tidal components reasonable agreement model predictions, especially phase. amplitudes tend to be larger than values. semidiurnal tide is not as stable shows evidence for interference effects between different modes.
