摘要: Fusarium head blight (FHB) disease that occurs in wheat is caused by graminearum and a major risk to yield. Although several research efforts focusing on FHB have been conducted the past decades, conditions become more critical due increase its virulent forms. In such scenario, conferring complete resistance plants seems be difficult for handling this issue. The phenotyping finding solution it at genetic level comprises long-term process as infection largely affected environmental conditions. Modern molecular strategies played crucial role revealing host–pathogen interaction FHB. integration of biology-based methods genome-wide association studies marker-based genomic selection has provided potential cultivars breeding programs. review, we aim outlining contemporary status wheat. influence animals human health also discussed. addition, summary advancement technologies identifying developing FHB-resistant resources provided. It suggests future measures are required reduce world’s vulnerability which was one main goals US Wheat Barley Scab Initiative.
