摘要: Drawing upon the identity-based perspective, current research focused on role of affective commitment and future work self salience (FWSS) in relationship between abusive supervision job performance. We expected that commitment, which represents organization-based identities employees, would mediate Furthermore, we predicted employees’ FWSS, ease construction clarity an individual's hoped-for work-based identity, amplify indirect effect performance via commitment. Specifically, FWSS was to play amplifying supervision–affective path. Based a sample 480 salespersons, results 3-wave study revealed mediated supervision–sales relationship. Moreover, sales stronger for employees with higher FWSS. deleterious amplified by This case even when emotional exhaustion leader–member exchange were incorporated as competing mediators. Implications our findings directions are discussed. Practitioner points Organizations should pay greater attention because they more vulnerable terms their decreased performance. To maintain organizations train leaders reduce or eliminate behaviours, especially those leading teams majority high-FWSS employees.
