摘要: Fishing in the Medes Islands Marine Reserve (511 ha, including a no-take zone and buffer area) was prohibited 1983. This study is result of 2.5-year monitoring program (sampling on board fishing boats from June 2003 to December 2005) aimed at characterizing small-scale carried out near reserve. A total 109 species were identified. The various metiers use with gears trammel net, longline gillnet identified basis landing profiles. main target included striped red mullet ( Mullus surmuletus ), common sole Solea solea gilthead seabream Sparus aurata cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis), pandora Pagellus erythrinus seabass Dicentrarchus labrax spiny lobster Palinurus elephas ) hake Merluccius merluccius ). Most catches consisted mature individuals discards very low or nil. exception elephas, made up mostly juveniles. estimated stock parameters for surmuletus, erythrinus, Scorpaena porcus (L c mean catch length; L opt length maximum yield per recruit; Y/R ; max F (0.1) , distributions exploited sizes, presence large individuals, suggest situation pressure.
