‘Cumulative Deterrence’ as a New Paradigm for Cyber Deterrence

摘要: ABSTRACTThis article suggests that there is a paradigm crisis in the sub-field of cyber deterrence. Cyber deterrence evolving slowly and unpromisingly as strategic tool both theory practice, mostly due to ill-fitting theoretical framework underlining assumptions it borrows from absolute-nuclear-deterrence context. Therefore, this replacing accepted yet inadequate absolute with better-fitting restrictive-cumulative-deterrence draws on Israeli approach deterrence, introducing into domain. The further criticizes current discourse field, including some ‘common knowledge’ (mis)understandings cyberspace ways affects possibility
