摘要: The roles of submolecular regions OmpF and OmpC, major outer membrane proteins Escherichia coli, as concerns their biogenesis, structure function were studied using a large number chimeric genes constructed from the ompF ompC through single or double homologous in vivo recombination. When recombination between two took place at certain central regions, no protein was detected, irrespective whether amino-terminal carboxy-terminal derived OmpC. Biochemical studies revealed that these synthesized exported across cytoplasmic normally, but they not properly assembled into hence degraded rapidly. Characterization proteins, which OmpC once twice, suggested region each plays an important role respective assembly, whereas may be marginal. Functional characterization for receptor functions phages TuIa TuIb, respectively.
