摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect a novel prostaglandin I2 analogue, beraprost (BPT), on pseudointimal hyperplasia (PIH) polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) prostheses. A total 12 rabbits were equally divided into three groups. control group given placebo daily, 1 BPT orally 2 mg/kg per day, and 4 b.i.d. Exactly cm inferior vena cava resected replaced by 3-cm PTFE tube graft. All grafts patent when harvested weeks after implantation, but lumens narrowed various extents PIH. PIH, determined dry weight intraluminal tissue deposit, significantly (P<0.01) suppressed in groups compared with group. High-magnification light microscopy staining methods revealed PIH be composed mainly smooth muscle cells (SMCs) collagen fibrils all Transmission electron that majority SMCs contractile form, contrast synthetic form seen In conclusion, attenuated inhibiting phenotype change SMCs.
