摘要: In this paper [the authors] suggest an alternative method for fitting the gravity model. interaction variable is treated as outcome of a discrete probability process whose mean function size and distance variables. This treatment seems appropriate when dependent represents count number items (people vehicles shipments) moving from one place to another. It would seem have special advantages where there are some pairs places between which few move. The argument will be illustrated with reference data on numbers migrants in 1970-1971 126 labor market areas defined Great Britain.... (EXCERPT)
