摘要: HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are spreading rapidly in China. However, little is known about risk among STD patients. In October–November 1997, we recruited a consecutive sample of 1,371 clinic patients from 16 different provinces municipalities across the country examined their sexual practices condom use. We found that median age for initiation was 22 years men 21 women, only small proportion (12%) women (15%) had used during this first intercourse. Eighty-one percent 53% two or more partners past year. During same period, 78% 44% both steady nonsteady partners; those with types partners, 1% 7% always these partners. Multiple partnerships year were common men, older (over 35 years), who initiated sex at an earlier age. More frequent use associated being younger, having encounter. Our findings underline need patient education promotion as part efforts to prevent spread
