摘要: Four classes of organosulfur compounds were tested for their effects on anaerobic microbial activity as indicated by rates lactate degradation, nitrate or sulfate reduction, and methanogenesis. Each class consisted five to eight chemically related that added concurrently cultures established with an oily sludge inoculum. Effects activities evaluated at different amounts the chemicals concentration dependent in all cases. Thiophenes thiols inhibited under methanogenic conditions ≥5 mmol/L; former had less effect nitrate-reducing conditions, latter sulfate-reducing conditions. Thiophenic acids did not influence most processes lower concentrations (≤0.50 mmol/L). Aromatic sulfides inhibitory three mmol/L a greater electron acceptor reduction than oxidation. We conclude metabolism could potentially assessment biodegradation either laboratory anoxic environments.
