摘要: Abstract Background Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has previously been reported to be effective in treating polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV), with satisfactory polyp regression. However, the optimum treatment protocol remains controversial. This study compared effect of reduced-fluence PDT combined intravitreal bevacizumab (rPDT/IVB) and standard-fluence (sPDT) alone for symptomatic PCV Chinese patients. Methods A retrospective review was carried out medical records patients who were treated rPDT/IVB (14 eyes 13 patients) or sPDT (12 12 at least 6 months follow-up. Results The mean best-corrected visual acuity group improved significantly 6-month follow-up ( p = 0.041). Only one eye (7.1%) showed a decrease acuity, four (33.3%) group. total 40.0% increased lipid exudate 1 month after treatment, whereas no increase observed = 0.015). maximum area post-treatment hemorrhage smaller than that (2.57 ± 2.74 mm 2 vs. 12.69 ± 10.28 mm , = 0.042). Conclusion Combination encouraging results vision improvement, lower less sPDT.
