摘要: Abstract Purpose This study aimed to compare the reliability of three different imaging software programs for measuring PAS and concurrently investigate morphological changes in oropharyngeal structures mandibular prognathic patients before after orthognathic surgery by using 2D 3D analyzing technique. Material methods The consists 11 randomly chosen (8 females 3 males) who underwent maxillomandibular treatment correction Class III anteroposterior prognathism at University Hospital Zurich. A set standardized LCR CBCT-scans were obtained from each subject preoperatively (T0), months (T1) 2 years postoperatively (T2). Morphological posterior airway space (PAS) evaluated longitudinally two observers with (OsiriX® 64-bit, Switzerland; Mimics®, Belgium; BrainLab®, Germany) manually cephalometric X-rays. Results significant increase upper dimensions occurred all measured cases. All other distances showed no statistically alterations. Measuring volume similar outputs both analysis Conclusion design seems be far more reliable precise phrasing a statement postoperative gradients than conventional radiography is additionally higher compared corresponding manual method. In case bilateral split osteotomy mandible simultaneous maxillary advancement, negative effects decrease may reduced might prevent developing OSAS.
