摘要: The mucin carbohydrate epitope sialyl-Le(x), detected with the monoclonal antibody AM-3, is strongly overexpressed in > 90% of human colon carcinomas. We show here that carcinoma one cores bearing sialyl-Le(x) group MUC-1, whereas present normal not detectable on MUC-1. amounts MUC-1 core BC3 extracts tumor tissue are 60-180% those tissue. Two other epitopes located mucins from and have also been characterized. In contrast to their expression variable does correlate malignant transformation colonic mucosa. transfer onto contributes carcinoma-associated overexpression epitope.
