摘要: Plasma discharge is a novel disinfection and effectual inactivation approach to treat microorganisms in aqueous systems. Inactivation of Gram-negative Escherichia coli (E. coli) by generating high-frequency, high-voltage, oxygen (O2) injected hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) added water was achieved. The effect H2O2 dose injection rate on electrical characteristics E. has been reported. Microbial log reduction dependent addition with O2 observed. time variation the efficiency quantified initial population basis optical density measurement analysis emission spectrum recorded after occurrence illustrated formation oxidant species (OH•, H, O). Interestingly, results demonstrated that added, underwater plasma had fabulous impact sterilization. notably reduced voltage needed for breakdown flowing escalated power pulses. No A significant role bacterial also identified. Furthermore survivability treated drastically zero. course study showed retardant colony multiplication favorable, observed long time. High-frequency based biological applications technically relevant would act as baseline data development antibacterial processing strategies.
